πŸŽ‰ Weekend Edition Vol.052

try not to blink

We're back! And a day early to make up for some of our previous tardiness!

Besides the fact I've personally been slacking... this has been one of my favorite weeks of the year given all of the cool stuff we published. Plus, I was interviewed by our friends over at Crucial Tracks, which was a blast.

Crucial Tracks 007: Kevin Humdrum
This month’s Crucial Tracks interview features Kevin Humdrum, host of the webzine foofaraw amongst other adventures.

First up this week, an absolutely wonderful interview with (someone who's actually talented and) my favorite working comic book artist right now. I've been following Jesse's art for years and he's really having a moment after wrapping up Man's Best and then releasing Drome later this year. It was an honor to have him.

This weeks short story from B. Morris Allen takes a fun approach to the superhero(/villain) genre and combines it with tech reviews to give us something fresh and exciting.

And finally, Nick is back with an essay about one of the biggest topics in the US right now: Eggs.

We are making a little push to get a few more paid subscribers to help fund short stories for the back half of the year. Anyone who subscribes in March will get some free stickers and if we add 10 new paid subscribers, we'll pick three lucky winners to get some free zines that are hitting the printers very soon. Upgrade here.

Things have been a bit chaotic here at foofaraw HQ and add in the enormous amount of music releases from last Friday and you get a shoddy issue of The Media Guide...

If you are missing your Sonic Vibrations fix, check out Crucial Tracks new release coverage:

Crucial Releases for March 7
The latest new albums from Divorce, Bob Mould, Downward, Hamilton Leithauser, Jason Isbell, SASAMI, and HotWax.

There are a few additional albums I still want to highlight, but Jason does a great job and covering great music.
