Guidelines

Foofaraw is looking to publish opinion pieces on topical events ranging from politics, tech, sports, science, business, and more.

We are open to publishing things we disagree with, but won't publish anything that evokes hate or hostility towards any group of people or that denies science and fact.

Lastly, we are extremely interested in publishing diverse voices from all walks of life.

Word Limit: 

  • 750-1250 words
    • Flexible to go lower or higher if the piece warrants it

Pay Rate: 

  • $5.00

Language: 

  • English

Response Time

  • 2 weeks

Rights: 

We request first serial rights and non-exclusive, indefinite archival rights. As well as the right to publish in a limited print anthology. Any rights not used by the publisher within twelve months will return to the author.

Requirements:

  • We do not accept multiple submissions from a single person at a time
  • We do not accept simultaneous submissions (pieces sent to more than one place at a time).
  • We do not accept previously published works.
  • We do not accept work created or assisted by AI.
