Jason Bateman returns to Netflix and TV to follow up Ozark. This time he's bringing Jude Law with him. Bateman and Law play brothers here, where one owns a club in NYC and the other comes back into his life and brings his mess with him for this crime drama.
I love when a show is consistently on year after year with no extended two-year break, but I hate to say that this one might be getting a little long in the tooth. Maybe they should take a little bit of time off so they can bring something new and fresh.
Lastly, a new adult animated show with Will Forte and Jimmi Simpson.
A24 expands into music (beyond their original scores) and they hit it out of the park signing mark william lewis.
Upbeat, funky, poppy, and even a bit weird. This record by Boko Yout is a hoot.
The first of two books from the new publisher, Ignition. Leah Williams teams up with her Power Girl artist, David Baldeรณn, for this throwback Hitchcockian heist thriller.
Then, for last weekโs release for Ignition, Jeremy Haun is joined by Mike Tisserand, who is doing comic interiors for the first time. I think the name tells you enough already.
Szymon Kudraลski follows up Something Epic and Blood Commandment with a book that brings us back to the 60's with an FBI and KGB operative having to team up to solve a murder.
Maria and David Lapham are back with a new creator-owned book for this small town mystery-esuqe book that follows the Sheriff who uncovers the towns deepest and darkest secrets.
Bendis and Oeming return to Powers to celebrate it's 25th anniversary.
And finally, what will likely be the biggest-selling book, a Marvel/DC crossover with a murderer's row of talent writing and drawing stories.
Alex Winter of Bill & Ted fame is back in the director's chair for this little murder mystery that has been getting solid reviews and looks like it could make for a fun viewing.
This one has not been getting great reviews, other than folks saying it might be Colin Ferrell's best performance to date.
I'm fascinated by this one. I love a good contained movieโthings like Phone Booth, Buried, and My Dinner with Andre. This looks like that, but on the move. Plus, it's based on a Stephen King story, which tend to have a pretty high success rate when they hit the big screen.
Billy Zane was made for this role. He doesn't do a lot, but when he does, I enjoy his screen presence and he just has the perfect look for Brando.
Paul Mescal and Josh O'Connor star as two music students in Boston in 1917. Mubi picked this one up, so it's definitely going to be for a particular audience.
