What came to mind when this story's idea was first sparked, the crabs or the sirens?

I wrote this story for a prompt “crabs,” but instead of being the main focus, the crabs somehow ended up as sirens’ accomplices.

Have you ever gone on a cruise?

I’ve only gone on short excursions, and they were always a huge struggle because I get terribly seasick.

What’s your opinion on long-distance travel by sea?

I love the idea, but sadly, due to seasickness, it’s not for me. I would probably jump overboard within the first few hours. What’s funny is that I was always fascinated with marine biology and it was my dream to sail the seas and observe dolphins when I was younger.

Do you think you’d survive if you were stranded on an island with a small group of people after a shipwreck?

Honestly, I don’t think I would.

Do you think you could resist the call of a siren?

I like to think of myself as a logical person, so I’d say yes, especially if I knew it was coming.

What book are you reading right now?

I just finished reading Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins. It’s a prequel to The Hunger Games.
