I’m so disappointed I haven’t seen one. Yet.
I’d say around a 7. I’d be intrigued, but my heart rate would go up to 150 beats per minute. In my current location, I’d freak out about anyone unknown entering my home—safety first.
Perhaps the end would have been different, since Marcy and Joe remember that it’s risky to use rotary phones during storms, and act out of concern for the exterrestrial.
I envisioned a setting more than a time period, but the rotary phone and landline do give 80’s vibes. Also, do kids prank call these days?
I was travelling in Paso Robles, California on the 13th of February, 2025, and had no food with me, so I needed to venture out in a rainstorm to find breakfast. I can’t remember another time I ate pancakes while being completely soaked.
They will continue to wonder what the neighbors think. It’s that kind of a town.
