The Wednesday edition
This week’s ad slot was purchased by friend of Foofaraw, Evan Passero, in support of DIFFA Dallas—providing critical financial support to North Texas AIDS service organizations that offer direct care to adults, families, and children living with or impacted by HIV/AIDS.
Foofaraw will match up to $300 in donations to DIFFA Dallas, Elevated Access, and Denton Community Food Center through the remainder of 2025.
The fact that a documentary like this exists is mind-blowing. The footage, the situation, and the tragedy all wrapped together. This trailer alone is visceral.
Ughh, this is terribly depressing. Come on, people! Get out there, buy a ticket, and go see it in theaters. Please, I’m begging you. If movies like these don’t show well in theaters, we are going to stop getting them. Then we will just be left with whatever garbage Netflix decides to shove down our throats.
In the incredible and unique graphic novel Drome, Jesse Lonergan delivers a singular story of humanity’s origins. The once-in-a-lifetime Drome is available from 23rd Street at a bookstore near you right now.
We were lucky enough to have Jesse sit down and chat with us back in March, so it’s wonderful to see the warm reception Drome is receiving. I was reading it while he was creating it via his Patreon a few years back and can confirm it’s wonderful. However, I eventually stopped because I wanted to read it in its entirety when it was complete. His artwork is always stunning, but his use of panels and the way he takes advantage of the medium is unparalleled in comics today.
After all the turmoil from the test screenings, this trailer looks delightfully bonkers. I can see why test audiences might have been displeased, but I’m here for the weirdness.
